The Oscar winner responded to a Twitter user who compared her new ‘do to a viral lighthearted video from rapper Saucy Santana, who wears a bob and channels Nicki Minaj from the B.o.B. single “Out of My Mind.“
“Halle Berry tonight,” the user tweeted on Sunday alongside the video. Berry retweeted the post on Tuesday and playfully responded with two emojis, including a laughing-face one:
Berry looked stunning on the red carpet at the Oscars in a pink-toned Dolce & Gabbana gown with a prominent bow. She debuted her new bob with bangs after teasing it earlier in the evening on Twitter with a picture that just showed her hair chopped off.
Her hairstyle sparked a lot chatter on Twitter, with people sharing memes and all sorts of opinions of the ’do.
The legendary actor and style icon, who made history becoming the first (and still only) Black woman to win an Oscar for Best Actress in 2002, apparently wasn’t phased by the blunt-bob-detractors.
Berry was accompanied by her Grammy-winning musician boyfriend Van Hunt to the case.
Hunt shared pictures of himself and Berry getting ready for the ceremony on Instagram on Monday. It was the couple’s first date night, according to his caption. In September of last year, the two announced their relationship on Instagram.
