On the heels of their 2014 release, Curtains For the King of Love, Washington D.C’s own Love Station is back and better than ever with their new eight track release, Destiny.
From the subtle smoothness of the album’s title track, to the tantalizing tempo of “Bottom Dollar” and “Shoo Be Do Wop”, Destiny is the just the right anecdote to rhythmically sail through the spring. The album’s dedication and title is lovingly apellated after a young lady by the name of Destanee, who lost her life in 2018, as the result of a tragic car accident. Destanee was also the granddaughter of the band’s bass player Bruce Tyler.
Together since 1976, the Samuel Taybron led sextet first performed on the campus of North Carolina’s Shaw University. Since relocating to Washington D.C. in 1981, Love Station has been diligently going strong and shows absolutely no signs of slowing down. What’s in store for Love Station? Keep up with the band on their website at https://www.thelovestation.biz/. In the meantime, feel free to indulge and keep Destiny in your own hands.
