When 21 Savage released Savage Mode II, his joint album with Metro Boomin, last October, he had been without a project for nearly two years. Both fans and critics praised the song, as did his previous release, I Am > I Was, released in 2019. Fans of 21 Savage won’t have to wait as long for a new album from the Atlanta rapper this time around, as he just revealed that his next single, Sprial: From The Book Of Saw, will be released later this week on May 14. He announced the news in a spooky 30-second video that included a sneak peek at a track that would likely feature on the album.
Sprial: From The Book Of Saw also serves as the soundtrack to the same-named upcoming film, which will be released on May 14. Variety announced at the end of March that 21 Savage had agreed to executive produce the film’s soundtrack. The rapper released “Spiral,” the title track and first single from the forthcoming soundtrack, a month later. It’s also been reported that Gunna, Young Thug, and Young Nudy will appear on the album.
The Spiral: From The Book Of Saw film is a spinoff of the original Sawmovie and is produced by and stars Chris Rock who appears beside Samuel L. Jackson as a father-son duo who must face a Jigsaw copycat killer.
