Nicki Minaj‘s bars have the ability to make you think. So, whether rapping along to her songs or even writing an Instagram caption, it’s easy to forget a word or two in her lyrics.
We can’t say for sure if this is what happened when Cuban Doll used Nicki’s lyrics in an Instagram message. We can confirm, however, that the rap superstar jumped in to correct Cuban’s remarks. But, before anyone accuses Nicki of being a tyrant, she explained that the correction was intended to inject a sense of levity into the situation.
To rewind, over the weekend, Cuban shared a risqué photo of herself. From a side profile view, the photo caught Cuban in a squat pose. Her bodysuit was bright pink. Big cut-outs in the bodysuit seemed to accentuate her figure. The tiny one-piece even gave fans a good look at Cuban’s ink art, which included flowers and a giant snake. She completed her ensemble with a pair of pink and orange monarch butterfly platform shoes.
Cuban looked into the camera in the photo. Both her hands were gripping her chest area. Her hair is bright blonde with pink highlights and slight waves. In her caption, Cuban wrote lyrics from Nicki Minaj and Skillibeng’s song ‘Crocodile Teeth.’“My type of gal wanna know da opps out,” Cuban wrote. At some point, Nicki stepped into Cuban’s comment section and wrote the caption’s correction.
“Might tek a gyal man, I know da opps out,” Nicki commented under Cuban’s post. Not one to leave any confusion on the table, Nicki took to her Instagram story to clear the air. Apparently, folks on social media assumed Nicki was attempting to embarrass the rapper.“I hope y’all know I love Cuban,” Nicki wrote against a blank pink-and-orange background. “I was havin fun w/ her. I don’t try 2 embarrass ppl I f**k wit. That’s corny. I’ll never correct a lyric again chile. Boom.”Some time in between or after Nicki’s comment and Instagram Story clarification, Cuban changed her caption to reflect Nicki’s correction.
