Like most high school seniors, rapper Metro Marrs wanted to make his graduation ceremony special. Well, he and his family will never forget what happened when he reached into his waistband and flung several stacks around.
The Quality Control rapper threw up an estimated $10,000 into the air as he walked across the stage at his Langston Hughes High School graduation in suburban Atlanta, putting a serious flex on his classmates and their families.
Then Marrs was handcuffed and detained without warning, which was caught on camera by some of his classmates and observers.
Metro Marrs threw several stacks of dollar bills into the air as if he were at one of the city’s famous strip clubs in a video that has gone viral.
The Wolf Creek Amphitheater in South Fulton, Georgia, just outside Atlanta, was the obvious choice for the graduation, according to Marrs’ Instagram page.
Screams and cheers erupted spontaneously from Marrs’ classmate. As many of the students bolted from their seats to frantically collect the spiraling bills, the serene scene quickly devolved into complete chaos.
School officials and law enforcement officers were not among the cheering crowd whatsoever. Marrs, who was born and raised in metro Atlanta, was perp-walked to a waiting squad car for his troubles.
