In the new science-fiction drama The Mothership, Halle Berry and Omari Hardwick will feature.
Berry is executive producing the picture, which also stars John Ortiz and Molly Parker and is directed by John Ortiz. Berry will portray Sara Mose, a woman who must manage her life after her husband vanishes from their farmhouse the previous year, according to the film’s synopsis, which was published to Deadline. Soon after, she finds an extraterrestrial object beneath her house. Sara and her children are racing against the clock to figure out what the connection is between this object and the loss of their family’s patriarch.

Hardwick’s position in the film has yet to be revealed, but the “Power” star is making an effort to avoid being typecast as the fictitious drug dealer. Hardwick is presently acting alongside Dave Bautista in the Netflix zombie flick Army of Dead, which was released in limited cinemas in May and is now available to stream on Netflix.

The film is set in Las Vegas during a zombie epidemic, and a bunch of mercenaries take the ultimate risk by venturing inside the quarantine zone to pull off the largest heist ever attempted. Vanderohe is one of the mercenaries played by Hardwick.

“Meet the chainsaw wielding, zombie killing, philosopher…. #Vanderohe. But most importantly….hear me say: On behalf of my incredible cast-mates, our crew, our producers, #Netflix & our incomparable director #ZackSnyder ….thank YOU, the fans for enjoying the journey as MUCH as we did 🙏🏾

#ArmyOfTheDead,” Hardwick posted on Instagram last week as it premiered on the streaming service.

Hardwick also bulked up for the part, packing on 20 pounds of muscle. Normally weighing 180 pounds, the former football star worked hard in the gym to mix in with his weightlifting peers and is now a ripped 200 pounds.
