The pandemic wreaked havoc on tens of thousands of small companies across the country. Some people got it through, while others had to shut their doors. Now that the world is slowly returning to normal, J Balvin is doing everything he can to support Latinx-owned small businesses through a new UPS campaign.
For the Proudly Unstoppable campaign, the Latin artist and the shipping corporation teamed up. According to Billboard, the news coincided with the release of “Juntos Imparables,” a new song written by the artist in the goal of urging “people to work together and support their local businesses.” “My early days in music felt very similar to getting a small business off the ground, so I know what it takes to start from scratch and chase your dreams,” the singer said of the new ad.
“UPS is doing so much to help small businesses handle logistics and grow,” he continued. We can only do so much as individuals, but when we work together with our people, we are unstoppable.”
UPS also presented a bilingual limited edition box series called “Challenges Are Our Fire,” made by Mexican graphic artist and illustrator Luis Pinto, in addition to the new song. 650,000 UPS medium-sized Express boxes and envelopes are included in the series. UPS will also donate $150,000 to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) in order to provide financial assistance to small businesses affected by the pandemic.
