Today, Foxing debuted a stunning new video for the title track from their next album, Draw Down The Moon. The footage, which stars Tony Award winner André De Shields, was shot on the set of St. Louis’ recent Shakespeare In The Park production of King Lear, which also included De Shields.
The alt-emo legends have previously recorded album hits such as “Go Down Together,” “If I Believed In Love,” “Where The Lightning Strikes Twice,” and “Speak With The Dead,” the latter of which features indie experimentalists. Why?.
Conor Murphy, the band’s frontman, said in a statement when the album was released that it is “about the idea of your cosmic significance.” “Everyone experiences the feeling of being a minuscule speck in the big scheme of things. It’s easy to lose track of how small you are. Draw Down The Moon investigates how our ties to people, places, and ideas bind us to the world and reality.”
Press materials also noted that the band worked on the album in their St. Louis studio with guitarist Eric Hudson producing. Finally, the St. Louis outfit is releasing an upcoming concert film, Draw Down The Moon In St. Louis, which will air on August 6 at 6 p.m. PT.
