On Thursday night, rumors spread throughout social media that a ballpark proposal went awry, with a woman practically sprinting away from her pre-fiancee after a proposal on top of a dugout.
The proposal was revealed to have taken place during a Worcester Red Sox game, and many people wished for video evidence of the event. However, the photographer whose tweet about the failed proposal went viral has stated that she will not be publishing photos from the event.

At best, it’s a compelling ruse, and at worst, it’s a very terrifying relationship implosion, but the lesson here is that you shouldn’t get engaged in a wildly public area unless you’re certain your significant other will say yes. Even then, do it in secret, away from the cameras that are waiting to see if your really precious moment will blow up in your face and make for good internet viewing.
