Remi Wolf was named on our list of upcoming pop talents to watch in 2021, and she’s been reiterating that status throughout the year, including by appearing in other people’s videos. She’s released her own video today, the Seussian visuals for “Liquor Store,” one of the new singles she’s released to tease her next album. Wolf, who debuted the video today, posted on Youtube about her delight for the song: “it feels like I am shedding a skin!!!! It’s my first baby of the bunch off my album coming this fall and I hope you love it. 🐠😛🐠😛🐠😛🐠.”
In a press statement, she emphasized how important this song has been in her sobriety journey. “It seems like I’m shedding a skin in ‘Liquor Store,’” she added. “It’s about my sober journey, which has been a significant life change for me in the last year. I had a wild explosive week at the end of 2020, after six months away from the studio, where all these feelings came pouring out of me – ‘Liquor Store’ captures a lot of them. It’s the first of the bunch’s babies, and I hope you enjoy it.”
