If there’s one thing we know about Houstonians, it’s that they’ll stand in front of anyone who needs assistance! A video of a young man in Houston selling water to generate money for school clothes recently went viral. According to the Facebook post, the high schooler, Jaydeen Buckley, who will attend Westbury High School, was a kind girl who spent three weeks outside of an Exxon gas station trying to gather money. Several people left comments on the page asking how they could contact the young man, which is when Trae Tha Truth stepped in!
He not only made contact with Jaydeen’s mother, Meka Buckley, a mother of four children, but he also stepped in and provided Jaydeen and his siblings with clothing and shoes. While speaking with Jaydeen’s mother, she explained that selling water was her son’s idea in order to buy things he wanted, such as clothes and a tablet. Meka, who recently relocated her family from Atlanta, stated that her son formerly sold water in Atlanta and has now opted to sell water in Houston. Trae isn’t the only one who has shown support for Jaydeen.
When we asked if anyone else had contacted out to aid her son, Meka disclosed that Megan Thee Stallion, the H-Town Hottie, had also had her team contact her. She told us that Megan had dispatched her security to pick up Jaydeen, and that they were currently out shopping. Jaydeen will have Trae on his side now that he has gained additional exposure as a result of his viral video. Trae intends to keep in touch with her and her family, according to his mother, who encouraged her to contact her whenever she needs assistance. We’d be delighted to see it!
