Breakups are difficult, and it’s not always simple for two individuals who used to date — much alone marry — each other to get along. Then there’s Lenny Kravitz and Jason Momoa to consider. From the late 1980s to the early 1990s, Kravitz was married to actress Lisa Bonet. Momoa is now her husband. Despite this, the two are not just excellent friends, but also family members who are upfront about their feelings for one another. So it’s no surprise that on the Aquaman star’s birthday, the musician went all out. Again.
“Happy birthday, @prideofgypsies,” Kravitz wrote on Instagram, alongside a black-and-white photo of the two of them together, one considerably taller than the other. “I’m proud to call you my brother. One love. One family.”
It’s actually almost the exact same post Kravitz did last year, on Momoa’s previous birthday. Same picture, almost the same caption, now with the words, “I’m proud to call you my brother.”
Another member of the group is Zo Kravitz, who followed in the footsteps of both her parents by becoming a singer, like her father Lenny, and an actor, like her mother. Both Zo and her mother’s current husband are DCEU characters, though it’s unclear whether Aquaman and her Catwoman — who will appear in the upcoming The Batman — will ever meet. But, at the very least, their relationship is genuine and beautiful in real life.
