Kanye West looks to be getting ready to release his highly anticipated album, “Donda,” from his makeshift digs inside an Atlanta stadium, and he’s giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the process.
On Thursday, the Chicago rapper began a livestream on Apple Music in anticipation of the debut of his new single, “Donda,” which is set to premiere on Friday. West and colleagues are preparing for the release of his record from the barren room he’s been residing in at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, according to the continuous muted livestream. Later on Thursday night, West will hold an album release party at the stadium.
West had previously stated that he would release “Donda,” a song titled after his late mother Donda West, on July 23. On July 22, he had a listening event for the album at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, however the release was postponed.
After the July 22 listening party, a spokesman for West told The Associated Press that he expected to stay inside the stadium until the album was finished.
Last week, West shared a photo of his living quarters at the stadium on Instagram.
