The Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets, like every other team currently in Las Vegas, will wrap up their NBA Summer League stays on Tuesday. But first, the two teams must go past one another, and a highlight by a Blazers big man drew accolades from the greatest player of his generation, despite the fact that the game was not easy to watch.
Greg Brown, a former University of Texas big man, got ahead of the play and was handed a pass. Brown went between the legs and threw down without needing to dribble, much to the joy of his broadcast colleagues and teammates.
Few people were as happy, though, as LeBron James, who is apparently watching the game despite the fact that it is being broadcast on ESPNEWS.
Throughout Summer League, James has been tweeting about it, making it plain that the NBA’s annual trip to Las Vegas is one of his favorite things about this time of year. He even accompanied new Laker Russell Westbrook to Summer League. Still, having a Summer League game on ESPNEWS on a Tuesday afternoon takes a particular level of dedication, so kudos to LeBron and Brown for being able to accomplish so.
