While Drake fans across the world wait for the release of his “Certified Lover Boy” album, Lil Nas X couldn’t help but troll social media in response to Drake’s unique album cover art. Drake, who reminded fans that the album will be out on Friday, posted what appears to be the album’s cover art on Monday morning. The artwork, which he shared on Instagram, had 12 pregnant ladies emojis from various ethnic backgrounds. Drizzy’s official album art has been confirmed by Tidal’s Chief Content Officer Elliott Wilson, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Many others took the artwork to be Drake’s bold promise that his record, which is probably full of baby-making slappers, will result in some new Geminis by May 2022. While fans were buzzing over Champagne Papi’s new album, Lil Nas X decided to create some album art of his own to promote his own upcoming effort, “Montero,” which will be released later this month. Lil Nas X posted a photo with 12 different ethnically diverse pregnant dude emojis.
The troll move was similar to one Lil Nas X pulled back in 2019 when he spoofed Drake’s famed “Nothing Was the Same” album art. I’ve decide to title the album “nothing was the same” here’s the artwork my team and i worked very hard on pic.twitter.com/AcZoXbzNk3— MONTERO 🦋 (@LilNasX) May 29, 2019Anyone confused about the pregnant man emoji might have forgotten or didn’t see when Apple released it along with a multiracial handshake emoji back in July.
