The Chattanooga rapper affirms his prominence alongside fellow Chattanooga native YGTUT in the video for “Chad,” the latest single off Isaiah Rashad’s long-awaited comeback album The House Is Burning. Rashad uses the “video shoot at a gas station” cliche that has been so popular in recent years to fill the video with appearances from his music industry colleagues. Aminé, who appears as a delivery man, Denzel Curry, who looks to be assisting Rashad’s TDE cohort Jay Rock in some dirty business, and Dominic Fike, who appears to be supporting Rashad’s TDE cohort Jay Rock in some shady business, are among the appearances. As Kendrick Lamar quits TDE after more than a decade of collaboration, the video arrives just in time to spotlight TDE’s next generation of talents.
