Will You Be Able To Get It? COVID-19 Booster Dose, according to Johnson & Johnson, “dramatically increases protection.”
Johnson & Johnson has decided to issue a statement to inform people on their vaccination, just a day after Pfizer disclosed that its COVID vaccine is also effective for kids ages 5-11.
In a widely watched clinical experiment, the pharmaceutical company said on Tuesday that those who get a booster shot of its COVID-19 vaccine two months after the first shot will have much better protection against symptomatic illness:
“Our substantial real-world data and Phase 3 studies demonstrate that the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccination provides strong and long-lasting protection against COVID-19-related hospitalizations,” said Mathai Mammen, global head of research and development at Johnson & Johnson. Furthermore, the results of our Phase 3 experiment demonstrate protection against COVID-19-related death.”
As many people are aware, Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine is the only single-shot immunization available in the United States. Both the Moderna and the Pfizer vaccinations are given in two doses.
