Cardi B made news on Tuesday when she made a surprise debut at Paris Fashion Week. The Grammy-winning rapper made an appearance at a Thierry Mugler fashion show. Cardi B hasn’t appeared on a red carpet since giving birth to her second kid earlier this month, so this is a first for her fans. Cardi B flew over to Paris for the opening of the “Thierry Mugler : Couturissime” exhibition at Musee Des Arts Decoratifs, and word on the fashion streets is that she outdid herself in a lush, red, avant-garde gown made by Mugler.
Mugler’s lifetime work and “collaborations in the domains of entertainment, music, and cinema” are honored and displayed in this exhibition. It will take place from September 30, 2022, through April 24, 2022. Ready-to-wear and haute couture garments, photos, films, and other unpublished archives from 1973 to 2014 are among the exhibit artifacts. According to reports, the entire exhibition was “initiated, created, and shared by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) in 2019.” Cardi showed up in a curve-hugging ruby red outfit to symbolize the designer. The top of the gown is bustier-style, with huge jewels edging the V-cut.
The rest of the garment is embellished with sequins in various shades of brilliant and dark red. The gorgeous outfit came with a feathered attachment for added flair. The attachment resembles a coat in appearance. Cardi’s arms are covered, and it towers slightly above her head. It also has a long crimson cape on it. The styling didn’t end there, either. Cardi completed her couture showgirl ensemble with ruby red sequined gloves that to her elbows. She wore a choker necklace with ruby diamonds dripping from it. Her hair and make-up spoke for herself. Cardi wore her hair in a high bun with blonde finger waves and ruby bejeweled brows.
She completed the glam with a soft foundation, nude-like lip and full lashes. As the photos began circulating online, Cardi shared a few to her Instagram account. She captioned the post “Mugler Mami.” This isn’t the first time Mugler and Cardi B have served a fashion moment to remember. Cardi was previously styled in a vintage Mugler skirt that fanned out like an oyster and nude, shimmering bodysuit for the 2019 Grammys.
