Following a monumental year for the Chicago rapper in 2020, Lil Durk put his head down and pushed forward into and into 2021. He released the deluxe version of his late-2020 project, The Voice, at the start of the year. Later, he collaborated with Lil Baby on Voice Of The Heroes, which became his first chart-topping single. Durk returns to the solo way with “Pissed Me Off,” following a spate of guest appearances. The new song is a vindictive attempt, with the Chicago native singing about King Von and his brother DThang’s recent deaths.
In addition, he raps about the Atlanta house invasion in which he and his fiancée India Cox were victims in July. Durk and Cox were apparently compelled to engage the invaders with gunfire, but luckily both left the incident unharmed. The pair was named as victims in the police report for the shooting in Atlanta.
