Summer Walker has finally released her sophomore album, Still Over It, after a two-year wait that felt much longer. Summer’s rollercoaster love life and her fed-up feelings with it are clearly the focus of the new production, as evidenced by the title. Fans were ecstatic when they heard the title, believing there would be a fresh chapter in her wildly popular debut album Over It. Summer’s collaboration with SZA, “No Love,” is one among the numerous tracks that audiences are eager to hear.
Both singers express their sorrow to an unappreciative ex in the song. They both admit that if they had a do-over, they would protect their emotions more closely with this individual. In addition to SZA, Summer Walker enlisted the help of Ari Lennox, Lil Durk, JT from City Girls, Omarion, Pharrell Williams, Ciara, and Cardi B to contribute to her debut album. Still Over It was preceded by only one track, JT’s “Ex For A Reason,” so listeners will have lots of fresh music to appreciate from the project.
Summer Walker expressed her aspirations for the new album’s listeners in a statement to Apple Music. In an unique message to the streaming platform, she added, “Take this time to learn from my mistakes.” “You don’t have to guess if it’s love or not. Love is manifested in deeds. Stop making excuses for those who fail to show up. Don’t dismiss the warning signs. And don’t assume you have to stay somewhere because you can’t find something better – you can and will.” Finally, she said, “Don’t settle for less – you and your family don’t deserve it.”
