Ari Lennox’s trip to Amsterdam has seemingly taken a turn for the worst, as she tweeted that she was detained “for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.” She did, however, appear to have run into some security issues, as she tweeted barely an hour later, “F*ck Amsterdam security.” They despise people of color.”
Ari expressed a wish to return to the United States and promised, “I’ll never leave my house again,” before telling her followers, “They’re arresting me.” Her final tweet of the day says, “I’m getting detained in Amsterdam for reacting to a woman racially stereotyping me.”
According to Reuters, the musician was charged with public intoxication and being violent toward an airline official by Dutch military police. “Our team discovered a woman full of emotions who wouldn’t settle down,” a spokeswoman added. That is why she had to be apprehended.”
Police in the Netherlands are looking after accusations that Lennox made threats during the altercation.
