Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival, now in its fifth year, has grown to become one of Europe’s largest music events, attracting approximately 200,000 visitors to the enormous Valdebebas urban open space venue. Metallica, Muse, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Pixies, Faith No More, Twenty One Pilots, and Placebo were among the rock and roll acts on the first 2022 roster, which was unveiled in June.
In October, they pushed it a step further by adding a fifth day to the summer festival, with performers such as Haim, Florence + The Machine, and Nathy Peluso. Now they’ve added Jack White as the fifth day’s headliner, as well as other big name performers like Stormzy, London Grammar, Modest Mouse, Two Door Cinema Club, Local Natives, and Mura Masa to the schedule.
It takes the overall number of musicians performing across the festival’s five nights to 144. St. Vincent, The War On Drugs, Beabadoobee, Arlo Parks, Phoebe Bridgers, Leon Bridges, Animal Collective, Tinashe, Glass Animals, Carly Rae Jepsen, Chvrches, Wolf Alice, and many more are among the musicians performing on this diverse roster.
