Blxst’s success this year began with the work he released to the world at the end of 2020. The West Coast singer’s No Love Lost project, as well as its deluxe edition, put him on the map as one of the most recent performers to attract the attention of the R&B globe. This would be the start of a string of spectacular releases that would last the entire year of 2021. With only a few weeks left in the year, Blxst submits another tune for inclusion in his portfolio.
He makes a comeback with “About You,” his first solo track in almost a year, on which he dedicates his time to a new love interest who appears to be doubting his dedication to their burgeoning love. Blxst tells her that his concentration is solely on her, and that while she may have had poor love experiences in the past, this time will be different.
Blxst’s latest album follows his collaboration with fellow West Coaster Bino Rideaux on Sixtape 2 earlier this year. The project had 12 songs that demonstrated how far the team has progressed since releasing Sixtape in 2019. Blxst also collaborated with Snoop Dogg on “Go To War” and appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to play a high school student in his video for “Chosen,” which he co-directed with Ty Dolla Sign and Tyga.
