According to court filings, Faith Evans wants a judge to reject Stevie J’s spousal support request.
Evans is attempting to keep “any property gained before marriage, by gifts, inheritance, or cleverness, and after the date of separation,” according to the Florida News Times. Evans is also requesting that the judge reject Stevie J’s request for spousal assistance.
The couple has been formally separated since May 29, 2020, according to Evans court records, while the love and hip-hop star docs state October 19, 2021.
Despite Stevie’s filing for divorce in November and Evans’ expectation of no spousal support, the two are still pals on Instagram, as we previously reported. The singer’s profile picture is of the two, and she recently released a video of the two doing kart wheels on the beach, but the singer was asked about her relationship status in a recent interview. Faith evaded the topic, claiming that she stopped talking about her relationship in public in the 1990s.
Faith Evans and Stevie J
Stevie recently made news after accusing Faith Evans of having an affair with him. The video shows him walking into her bedroom while she was sleeping, cursing at her and questioning how she could do such a thing to him. Stevie issued a public apologetic video a few days later.
“I’d like to make this video for my wife,” Stevie said. “A video was released last week that showed me like talking crazy to my wife, publicly humiliate my wife.”
“Nah, she ain’t cheat. I was just in the moment. You know how us guys do,” he said. “I’d like to take the time to apologize to you, Faith, and let you know I love you. I’m here for you, always.”
