The presenters of The View ripped on the “shameless” Colorado senator and the state of the Republican Party after Lauren Boebert blessed the internet with a family Christmas photo that featured her and her children all carrying firearms less than a week after the school shooting in Michigan. While the panel discussion began with Dan Crenshaw referring to some of his Republican colleagues as “grifters” and “performance artists,” it quickly went to Boebert’s photo, which the daytime TV show decided not to air because it was “too obnoxious,” according to host Joy Behar.
After co-host Sarah Haines attacked Boebert, claiming that you may be “pro-Second Amendment, but not pro-those kind of trashy photographs,” Behar wondered if there was any hope of working with the Republican Party, given that this kind of behavior is becoming standard procedure.

Behar, who dubbed the representative “Lauren ‘Bobblehead’ Boebert” took particular issue with the timing of the picture, considering that four students were killed in a school shooting in Michigan just last week.
“For her to put out a picture like that, shows that she’s completely shameless,” Behar said. “My question is can you even negotiate with shameless people? I don’t think it’s possible.”
While the majority of the panel agreed with Behar that the GOP had little hope, Whoopi Goldberg added her two cents by referencing Roy Moore’s failed 2017 campaign. Republicans made a lot of noise about voting for Moore despite his sexual misconduct claims, according to Whoopi, but when it came time to vote, they voted differently. When it comes to the likelihood of that occurring to provocateurs like Boebert when it’s time for reelection, it’s difficult to share Whoopi’s hope that gun-filled Christmas cards will turn off Republican voters.
