While the rest of the music industry is having a slack week, Nicki Minaj appears to be concentrating on her business. Despite the fact that she is a new mother, Minaj has something big planned for 2022, and it isn’t a follow-up to her latest album Queen. Director Deon Taylor of Meet The Blacks, Fatale, and the soon-to-be-released Fear made it obvious in a new Instagram post that his next movie will feature the Pinkprint rapper.
“Wait a minute, everything just changed!!” ” Nicki, philanthropist Robert F. Smith, producer Roxanne Avent, Quality Control CEO Brian Sher (who expanded out into Quality Control film and television earlier this year) and Taylor posted a group selfie on his Instagram grid. “Wait till you hear what I have to say…..” “I’m gone,” he continued, tagging each of the celebrities and expressing his… excitement? with a slew of flame emojis.
Sher also shared a selfie with identical sentiments, but his caption focused on Nicki: “Here goes…” he wrote, tagging Nicki in the image.
Because the project was revealed in 2020, fans are guessing it will be a new documentary/HBO docuseries about Nicki and her career. Onika has yet to make an official statement, so keep your eyes open for anything soon.
