There’s some things in this world that I can’t simply understand. And Beyonce getting movie role after movie role is one of them. Yes, I believe that she is a truly gifted and talented individual and I’m perhaps one of her biggest fans WHEN it comes to her music. But when it comes to her acting, she has proven time and time again that maybe it just isn’t for her. But still I keep hoping and watching and waiting to see if she improves with each movie that she does, but that transformation has yet to take place. Well if anyone can finally get Beyonce to blossom into that screen star that everyone hopes she reaches, it’s the man, the myth, and the legend…Mr. Clint Eastwood.
Clint Eastwood will direct and produce the fourth remake of A Star is Born which will star Beyonce. The script was written by Will Fetters.
The film will be co-produced by former Sony studio chief Jon Peters, who produced the last 1976 remake of the film, with his then girlfriend, Barbra Streisand. The film got savaged by the critics, but it was a huge box office hit.
The film is scheduled to start shooting sometime this fall, presumably after Eastwood finishes shooting his bio-pic J. Edgar, about FBI head J. Edgar Hoover, with Leonardo DiCaprio.
In case you were wondering the type of role that Beyonce will be playing in this movie, surprise, surprise, she’ll be playing a singer like in all of her other movies. The movie is basically about an alcoholic actor is career is in a downward spiral, while his wife’s career as an up-and-coming singer is on the rise. There’s no word as of yet on who will play the male lead.
