Don Cornelius the legendary host of the long time running music show “Soul Train” was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, CA home this morning and according to police it appears he committed suicide.
According to reports, officers responded to a report of shooting at Cornelius’ home on Mulholland Drive at around 4 a.m. They found his body with what appears to be a self-inflicted wound. He was pronounced dead at 4:56 a.m. at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
Don Cornelius is obviously best known for his hit show Soul Train, which changed the landscape of television when it debuted in 1971 and ran until 2006.
Cornelius was 75. RIP Don.
