If you have played the Angry Birds games then you must have by this point played them to a point of utter boredom or utter frustration.
Either way, the Angry Birds franchise of games has become somewhat stale with only Angry Birds Rio and Seasons being notable version releases of the game.
But Angry Birds maker Rovio is gearing up to launch a new iteration of the game and it’s all going down in space. Angry Birds Space is set for release on March 22 according to the teaser site for the game.
The teaser trailer does not reveal much but it may be expected that with things like zero gravity and space debris in space, there may be some interesting additional game dynamics added to the game.
“You’ll be lobbing birds on entirely new planets while contending with zero gravity, leading to new gameplay elements like slow-motion puzzles and ‘lightspeed’ destruction.”
Rovio has enjoyed stellar success with their Angry Birds game but as with most hit games, there arises the danger that the game could be just another one hit wonder. Rovio is, however, investing heavily in expanding their game franchise and entering new niches in the process.
The gaming company recently released a Facebook version of their game that gives them access to the 800 million plus active Facebook users. the new game will be released in conjunction with NASA and National Geographic although no particulars of the endorsements have been revealed.
