Whenever dealing with the guy above, it sometimes doesn’t pay to think or even try to rationalize what points he’s trying to make when discussing politics and his harsh criticisms of particurlarly one President, a Mr. Barack Obama.
But with Rush Limbaugh’s latest proclamation, I am beginning to think that this man cannot really believe the stuff that he’s spewing, and that it’s just him giving his listeners what they want and what they want is conspiracies that help support their idiotic theories that lack credence and most importantly evidence to back them up, and so a conspiracy is born to make them feel better.
Limbaugh’s conspiracy du jour is that Al Qaeda, a terrorist organization infamously known to hate everything American, gave up their leader Osama bin Laden to help President Obama win another election.
This question was not posed for the sake of a genuine conversation about the lengths extremists will go to bastardize their faith in the name of pushing their own perverse view of the world.
Instead, Limbaugh threw the question out there to introduce yet another one of his dense conspiracy theories that his audience salivates for.
“What if Ayman al-Zawahiri and other al-Qaeda leaders gave up Osama bin Laden for the express purpose of making Obama look good? Giving Obama stature, political capital?”
See what he did there?
Rush is insinuating that President Obama winning re-election in November would aid in the end of the Israeli state as we know it and that this is what the Islamic terrorists want most of all in the world.
Obviously, this is ridiculous. But then he goes on to say:
“Al-Qaeda was not depending on Osama bin Laden for operational leadership. His day had come and gone. He’s expendable.”
Thus, giving up bin Laden gives Obama “instant political capital” and “furthers the cause.”
He concluded with:
“Let me put it to you this way. Do you think that militant Islamists will be as hopeful of getting rid of Israel with a Republican president or with a Democratic president?”
This is fear mongering at its finest. You can listen to excerpts of Rush Limbaugh’s show below.
