Gwen Stefani joins The Voice’s Panel of Judges which includes Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams, with her husband Gavin Rossdale acting as a guest mentor.
Gwen has revealed falling with Gavin on the Idea of being in the same show together during a recent press conference for the NBC singing competition.
‘I went back and forth about having Gavin on [the show] because we have only collaborated on babies before, ‘I was really overwhelmed that Gavin was actually going to be on [the show] with me, and we got in a little fight about it the night before because I was like, “I don’t know if I can handle this. It’s just too much,”‘ she said.
However the singer got past it after giving it some thought, and it turned out to be enjoyable, and this was what she had to say about it, ‘The first couple [of contestants] who came through, I was so nervous. I wasn’t nervous because of being on the show. I was nervous because I was sitting next to him.’
Gwen, 44 and Gavin, 48 have been married since 2002 after meeting in 1995. The couple has three sons together, Kingston, 8, Zuma, 6, and Apollo 6 months old.
Season Seven of The Voice will premiere on September 22 and judges Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams are more that thrilled to welcome the No Doubt singer to their pack with Shelton saying that she is an Icon.
