Cult favorite Ash (Bruce Campbell) is back with his chainsaw and trusty boomstick! The new official trailer embedded below for STARZ’s new series Ash vs Evil Dead, shows our titular, badass hero back in action. The new series picks up 30 years after Campbell and Sam Raimi’s 1981 feature, The Evil Dead. Since the original 1981 film, there have been two sequels (Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness), comic books, and a movie reboot in 2013.
The new series will premiere on Halloween (of course), October 31, 2015 at 9/8c. The trailer below sucks us right back in and gives Dead newbies a quick background on all things evil, dead, and necromancing. We also see a few familiar faces. Lucy Lawless (Xena and Ash in the same space, yass) plays Ruby and Ash’s new bff Pablo is played by Ray Santiago. Check out the official trailer and hit the comments with your thoughts.
