With all the talk about Stephen Collins, Bill Cosby and the Glee Star, Mark Salling who was just arrested last week on child pornography charges there is a renewed focus on celebrity sex crimes.We have a tendency to look at celebrities as if they actually live on the pedestals we attempt to place them on. One thing we know for sure is that celebrity, fame, money and status do not preclude someone from committing a crime, nor being accused of one. After all, famous or not, they're just human like you and me. Here is a list of well-known celebrities (in no particular order) who have been embroiled in sex scandals that either ruined or brought shame to their careers. Ben Roethlisberger NFL quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been publicly accused of rape twice. Once in 2009 and again in 2010. The 2009 case was settled out of court. No charges were filed stemming from the second accusation. Jared Fogle The man who became famous for eating subs from Subway and losing weight was sentenced to 5-12.5 years last year. The Subway pitchman plead guilty to sex with minors and possessing child pornography. Jeffrey Jones Most commonly known for his role as the principal in Ferris Buellers Day Off. Jones has been a registered sex offender since 2002 when he was busted soliciting a 12 yer old boy to pose nude for him. He also was in possession of child pornography. Josh Duggar TLC's 19 Kids and Counting star confessed to inappropriately touching young girls when he was a teenager. The show was cancelled shortly after. Mike Tyson Iron Mike served 3 years on a 6 year sentence after his 1992 rape conviction. R. Kelly R. Kelly was acquitted of statutory rape and other charges stemming from a video that surfaced of the star allegedly urinating on a minor. Though he was found innocent his music career never regained the momentum it once had. Kelly also raised heads in the 90's when he married then 14 year old singer Aaliyah, her family promptly had the marriage annulled. John Travolta John Travolta has been accused of sexual assault and harassment multiple times by males. He was sued by 2 massage technicians in 2012. He settled out of court with one . Reuben Patterson Former NBA player Reuben Patterson was convicted of attempted rape in 2000 and sentenced to 15 years in jail plus probation. Stephen Collins Most widely known as the father on 7th Heaven, Collins has been accused of molesting children who were guests in his home years ago. His wife taped conversations in which he admitted to his deeds. He is under investigation currently. Mystikal Rapper Mystikal went to jail for 6 years for aggravated assault and extortion for forcing a woman to perform oral sex on himself and two other men.
