I watched the 1st two episodes of the upcoming season and all I have to say is will the Oscars please give Freddie Highmore an award already for his portrayal of Norman Bates! Do you remember when Freddie stared along Johnathan Rhys Meyers and Kerri Russell in August Rush? Now he is an adorable baby face psychopath. Go figure. That’t Tinsel Town for you.
I think this will be the last season of Bates Motel. I know I hate to see this show come to an end because Carlton Cuse has done such an excellent job with bringing Old Hollywood Glamour back and in color, and by that I mean the nostalgic writings of Alfred Hitchcock meets Shonda Rhimes talent. Love that the show doesn’t have to cuss up a storm and have boobs every other scene.
But the real reason the show must end is because Norman has fully flew over the cuckoo nest. Remember on the season finale of S3 Norman killed Bradley, while thinking he was his mother Norma. I feel like Bradley will make an appearance in Season 4, just because when she was staring at Norman as he drowned the car in the river, she was still conscious.
You know how dogs can only hear whistles at a certain pitch, well that is what Norma’s whiny nasally voice will be to the audience in this upcoming season, when you hear the flicker of the lights to their neon blue billboard sign, you will go running to the television programming.
In this spoiler free review I am guessing that Norman will finally kill Norma or maybe the writers will pull a fast one on us and have her kill herself.
