The Prancing Elites Project is a dance team based in Mobile, Alabama. The team is made up of five individuals who identify as gay or gender non-conforming, which results in the group being banned from competitions and parades, so the dancers must find other ways to showcase their talent, from performing in the stands at football games to dancing on cruises.
The troupe’s members include Adrian Clemons, a classically trained dancer who turned down an invitation to join the famed Alvin Alley Dance Theater.
What made you want to mentor girls and not boys?
I honestly thought I was just being a coach to the girls, not knowing I would then become a mentor. I’ve also noticed me being a mentor to the girls has resulted in a lot of guys letting me know how I inspire them by being myself!
You have been referred to as Grace Jones when you apply your makeup because of your striking features. Do you think Mattel should make a Barbie of you to inspire others like you?
I’m in love with Grace Jones. If she ever does a remake of her life, I will gladly take the role of the lovely/diverse Grace Jones herself. I also plan to model in my near future! Mattel should definitely make a doll model of someone like me, with accessories like glittered bracelets, popping lip gloss, rhinestone headbands, and an Adrian snatched beauty salon.
On one episode you went horseback riding with Timothy. Any chance a future dance routine will feature horses?
Yessss, horseback riding choreography is right up my alley! We, The Prancing Elites, are trying to dance with anything up under the sun because the sky is literally the limit.
What are some upcoming projects you will be involved in?
We are doing a lot of performances. I’ve tried a few things on my own. I’m a multitalented individual with more than one talent under my belt.
What are your social media sites? And how can fans request you to perform at their upcoming events, get fan mail and just interact with you?

Meet Kareem Davis, who wants to be a role model to others.
On one episode you stated that you wanted to do choreography, I would love to see you work out a collaboration with T. Milly. Have you created any projects so far outside of the Prancing Elites? If so, where can we view them?
Yes, I love choreographing and I have other projects. One thing I’ve been working on is a YouTube channel to give people a look into my life not just as a dancer/choreographer, but as a mentor and potential businessman.
You publicly made aware of your deals with HIV. Are you a part of any organizations or have you created any to help spread the word about the epidemic?
Yes, “The Prancing Elites,” as a whole, are partnered with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). I’m personally partnered with the National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC).
It seems like you and Kentrall been having a lot of tension this season, is this the end of you with The Prancing Elites and Kentrell? Or do I have to watch the end of this season to find out?
Yes, of course, you will definitely have to watch ALL THE WAY TO THE END TO FIND OUT.
What are some upcoming projects you would like your fans to know about?
As of now, there are so many moving parts with so many different things. I don’t want to speak to soon about upcoming projects just yet. When the time comes, I will definitely begin promotion through my social media handles.
