The government and white America are quick to point out a terrorist except when the culprits are white males. The consensus in 2016 is that terrorists are of Muslim culture and any white male who commits an act of terrorism is mentally ill. Meanwhile, domestic terrorist like the “Crusaders” in Kansas roam freely among us.
Take Dylann Roof, who walked into a historical Black church, killed nine people and then was treated to Burger King on the way to be booked. Remember James Holmes who murdered moviegoers who piled into theaters to see the new Batman movie? Robert Lewis Dear shot up a Planned Parenthood in Colorado in November 2015. Christopher Sean Harper-Mercer killed nine people at Umpqua Community College in 2015. The list goes on and on. Roof and Holmes, typical of white mass murderers who don’t take their own lives, were arrested and tried in court. We rarely ever see a Muslim terrorist make it out alive. But I digress, today, that isn’t the issue.
The issue is what does it take to be labeled a domestic terrorist, see understand that each of these attacks mentioned above were described simply as “mass shootings” whereas the Boston bombing, the Florida nightclub shooting, and the San Bernadino shootings were labeled “domestic terrorism.” The only difference, the nationality of the shooter.
Why does this matter? Domestic terrorists are among us daily, walking around plotting to kill innocent Americans and when they’re arrested it’s downplayed.
Have you paid attention to the story of three domestic terrorists who were arrested by the FBI almost 2 weeks ago for plotting to blow up an apartment building and Mosque in Kansas? Not many have, the news won’t call it domestic terrorism. In fact, it’s simply been called “a bombing plot.” Thankfully, these men were stopped before they could accomplish their mission but reports show that the plan was to bomb an apartment complex, predominately filled with Somali families, the day after election day. Why election day? They didn’t want to swing the election.
Curtis Allen, Gavin Wright and Patrick Stein, all residents in various cities in the state of Kansas, planned to park four vehicles loaded with explosives at the four corners of the building. These terrorists who call themselves the “Crusaders” had, just as other terrorists, even prepared a manifesto. They hoped their manifesto would help “wake people up” per Tom Beall, acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas.
The “Crusaders” were stopped thanks to the information given to FBI by an informant who infiltrated the group meetings. The charges filed against the 3 men who planned to commit an act of domestic terrorism include that the men conducted surveillance to identify potential targets, stockpiled firearms, ammunition and explosive components, and planned to issue a manifesto in conjunction with the planned bombing.
In the criminal complaint, it is alleged that Patrick Stein stated,
“The only fucking way this country’s ever going to get turned around is it will be a bloodbath and it will be a nasty, messy motherfucker. Unless a lot more people in this country wake up and smell the fucking coffee and decide they want this country back … we might be too late if they do wake up … I think we can get it done. But it ain’t going to be nothing nice about it.”
The “Crusaders” were known to call the local Somali residents cockroaches and to say that the apartment complex was full of cockroaches. Stein has been seen calling women “fucking raghead bitches” as he ‘patrolled’ the area. The men, Stein, in particular, were known to be active on social media spewing their racial hatred as well.
Garden City for example, I know exactly where probably a majority of those motherfuckers are at in their homes…in Garden City…and…they’ve got these apartment complexes over there where literally every fucking apartment…that’s all it is, fucking goddamn cockroaches…and…I mean I wouldn’t be against if I could get a hold of some RPG’s (rocket propelled grenades), I’ll run some RPG’s right through…I’ll blow every goddamn building up right there…boom…I’m outta there.” Stein said in one meeting.
After an 8-month investigation, the FBI arrested the three men. It’s been found that they also considered churches and public city meetings and even landlords who rented to immigrants as targets. All three men are charged with violations of federal statutes concerning Arson/Explosives and Use of a Weapon of Mass Destruction (18 U.S.C. §§ 2, 844(h), (i), & (m), and 2332a). The crime is not domestic terrorism, but that is exactly what they had planned. If convicted, the three could face life in prison.
