Bruno does it again!
After shutting down 2017 with hit after hit, the Honolulu Hawaii born dynamo glides into 2018 with a remix and nostalgic video “Finesse”! Taken from his 2016 double platinum smash 24K Magic, the uptempo cut is co-written by Mars himself and the Stereotypes, and also produced by the Stereotypes along with Shampoo Press & Curl. Premiering on January 4, 2018, the bold, colorful, 90s inspired video pays homage to the Keenan and Damon Wayans created sketch comedy series In Living Color. “Finesse” was directed by Mars and Florent Dechard. Complete his signature curly coif, 90s gear, and New Jack Swing dance moves, Bruno had us all in a gleeful time machine.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, this particular remix features none other than Bronx bombshell, Belcalis “Cardi B” Almanzar! With her debut album Bartier Cardi still flying off the shelves, her number- one smash Bodak Yellow” won’t be disappearing from the charts anytime soon. In addition, her collaborations on G-Eazy’s “No Limit” and Migos’ “MotorSport” made her the first female rapper to land her first three entries in the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100, and also the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. With “Finesse”, Cardi can now thank Bruno for adding another hit collaboration to her catalog. It seems both Bruno and Cardi are both “finessed” with hit-making quality, and will not be slowing down anytime soon.
