“I’m on a one way track, I’m living on faith, gonna get me some of what’s out there”. Jason Masi’s opening lyrics to his lead single “The Adventurer”, don’t only speak of having a life full of exploration, they also speak to those of us who seek to travel the world until we find what we are looking for. Based in Washington D.C., the singer-songwriter, got his start with his college band, Jubeus, playing a residency at the Lighthouse Cafe. While there he enjoyed opening for veteran rock bands such as Blind Melon, and Everclear. After going solo in 2010, Masi continued performing in various places, eventually establishing a solid east coast following.
With eclectic musical influences that range from Bill Withers and Marvin Gaye to James Taylor and Van Morrison, Masi also draws inspiration from additional musical greats such as Damien Rice, James Morrison, and Mat Kearney. Fueled by it’s lead single, “The Adventurer”, Masi’s November 30, release, Capture the Heart features an array of other melodic gems which are also buoyant, reflective, and compelling. The title track pays breeds New Orleans flavor while “Love’s Lips” illuminates being happily wrapped in love’s warm embrace. “Calm Me Down” speaks of needing a lover’s rescue from life’s unpredictable obstacles, while “You Make Me Feel So Nice” is a trip back to a 1960s casino scene with Rat Pack appeal. Allow Jason to capture your heart in person, by joining him for his album’s release party at The Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, VA!
