President Donald Trump met and dined with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro according to reports. Bolsonaro’s press secretary, Fabio Wajngarten, has since tested positive for coronavirus.
However, Trump refuses to get tested for the novel virus even after returning home to the US, per a White House spokesperson. Further report says Wjngarten was in close contact with both Trump and Vice President Mike Pence four days ago in Mar-a-Lago, confirmed via an Instagram post.
Furthermore, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham says Trump “isn’t concerned” about the situation. Adding, “Both the President and Vice President had almost no interactions with the individual who tested positive and do not require being tested at this time.” Wajngarten is the third person Trump’s been in contact with that’s contracted the virus.
Others who’ve made contact with Trump since being diagnosed with the virus are US GOP Congressman Reps. Matt Gaetz and Doug Collins. Also, senators Rick Scott and Lindsey Graham both said they’d self-quarantine after attending the same event as Wajngarten in Mar-a-Lago.
Despite making contact with other who’ve contracted the novel virus, and others who are self-quarantining since Mar-a-Lago, Trump still refuses testing, and has continued downplaying the severity of the virus, and continues shaking hands with others.
