Described as a “tell-all” in several reports, it has been revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly working with two journalists on an auto-biography that’s been.
In collaboration with journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the former royals have reportedly worked on a biographical look at their last few years, provisionally called “Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World of Meghan and Harry”
The books two authors have had a “fruitful relationship” with Meghan and Harry, and have already gotten exclusive access to some of their events.
The book, which will allegedly cover the time period from when Meghan and Harry met to their royal exit in March, is reportedly set to come out in August after being pushed back due to the coronavirus.
Scobie, who writes for “Harper’s Bazaar” and is a “Good Morning America” correspondent, has covered Meghan for years. Durand, who is a contributor for “Elle,” attended Meghan’s private event at a London school.
According to the Daily Mail, Meghan and Harry sat for interviews with the journalists before they announced their big exit in January.
Dey Street Books hasn’t confirmed the release yet, but their website does feature a cryptic page advertising a book by the authors “Eibocs” and “Dnarud”—Scobie and Durand backwards—with a release date of August 11th.
A source with knowledge of the deal said the book will also include details about Meghan’s deteriorating relationship with the Markle family.
“It will approach those years from the perspective of the couple and cast Meghan in a more flattering light than many tabloid stories have,” according to Vanity Fair.
It is believed that this book will be released as an opportunity for Meghan and Harry to get a few things off their chest and not with the intention to air out the royal family’s dirty laundry.
