A new report has sent shock waves throughout the Sweden, a country that held a long reputation as one of the world’s safest countries. A 23-year-old Swedish man has now been arrested and charged for decapitating his teen girlfriend after their break-up last November.
Police accusations say that Iraqi-born Tishko Ahmed Shabaz beheaded his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend after she broke up with him last fall. However, Shabaz denies the claim. The teen, Wilma Andersson, went missing on November 14, 2019 and two weeks later, police found her severed head.
Police say Andersson went to pick up her belongings from Shabaz’s home when he beheaded her and wrapped her head in foil and hid the body part in a travel bag. Police have yet to find the rest of her body. As of last week, police charged Shabaz, despite his claim to innocence.
He claims, “You forget that this is a girl that I have loved and I have lived my life perfectly.” His trial is due to begin on May 26.
