Unfortunately, China’s Jilin Province is the first to see that the Coronavirus is not letting up. 100 million people are facing lockdown again, due to new cases that have been detected, since reopening the country.
This new cluster of cases has definitely been everyone’s worst nightmare as public transportation has ended, schools are closed again, and there’s another round of quarantine.
It’s also said that people are starting to feel “more cautious” again. “Children playing outside are wearing masks again,” she said. “It’s frustrating because you don’t know when it will end,” Fan Pai said.
Over the weekend, Jilin has seen 120 new cases. Officials initially stated the re-entry of the virus on Russia. But they later admitted local transmission was also to blame.
In the U.S. alone, there has been over a million people infected with this virus, according to worldometers.com. There has also been 300,000 people recovered and over 90,000 people have passed.
This pandemic has changed the way we live our day-to-day lives. From mandatory masks, to school closures, nothing’s the same. Several states have slowly reopened but mostly with restrictions. As of now, over 30 million people have filed for unemployment.
Many corporations–Google, Twitter, and Facebook–are allowing their employees to work from home indefinitely, or until their employees feel comfortable enough to return to the office.
