Celebrities stepping up and using their platforms to speak out against racism, this includes Pink and Billie Eilish. They slam all of the ‘white privileged” “all lives matter” trolls attacking them for standing up and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
Eilish posted an open letter on her Instagram this weekend, saying, “If I hear one more white person say ‘all lives matter’ one more f**king time, I’m gonna lose my f**king mind. Will you shut the f**k uuuuuuuuuup???”
Pink share the same sentiments, reposted Eilish’s note, and received backlash of her own.
As one user criticized her for “implicitly saying other races don’t matter as much,” Pink fired back, “You are the epitome of white privilege and the saddest part is that you don’t even hear yourself and probably never will.” Another user said, “Pink is stupid,” and she replied, “What an insightful and helpful comment.”
Despite the backlash in her comments, Pink continued to repost other celebrities’ posts in support of the movement and fired off rounds at trolls as they attempted to criticize her.
