Stacey Dash is making the split official from Jeffrey Marty as she has just filed for divorce.
Legal documents show the former actress filed her divorce petition on Monday in Pasco County, Florida, where the former couple lived. Just one day after Dash was arrested for allegedly assaulting Marty, she listed the date of separation on October 1, 2019.
Dash claims in the filing there is no jointly owned personal property that needs to be divided. But as far as her income goes, she says she only brings in $2,500 per month. The move to divorce Marty comes after nearly 2 years of marriage.
The two tied the knot on April 6, 2018. While everything seemed to be going pretty good, things went downhill following their 2019 domestic violence incident. Although Dash was arrested, no charges were pressed by her husband.
Back in March, Dash made the announcement that they were calling it quits. She wrote in an Instagram post,
“Hello Everyone, My husband and I have made the hard decision of ending our marriage.” She added, “After much prayer, I feel this is the right path for both of us. I wish him nothing but the best,” she continued. “Thank you everyone for your support and respecting our privacy during this difficult time.”
Jeffrey was Stacey’s fourth husband.
