Channing Tatum hasn’t acted in a film since 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle (you can only hear his voice in Smallfoot and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part), but he’s making up for it with two new projects that sound fantastic.
There’s Dog, a road-trip comedy starring Tatum and A Very Good Boy (and his directorial debut), and The Lost City of D, in which the Magic Mike star plays a hunky book cover model who goes on an adventure with Sandra Bullock’s romance novelist. I’d like to see the action comedy Romancing the Stone, which also stars Brad Pitt, Patti Harrison, Daniel Radcliffe, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, as soon as possible. Unfortunately, The Lost City of D won’t be released until 2022, but he’s already promoting it by flaunting his d. (Finally, my liberal arts degree is paying off!)
On his Instagram Story on Tuesday, the Magic Mike star, 41, posed completely naked, save for a monkey emoji over his man parts, joking that his six-pack abs were the result of him “flexing so hard” that he “got a cramp.”
What a potent assemblage of words.
“You know when you in the make-up trailer a**hole naked holding a towel over your junk you about to do some sh*t on set that you going to have to prepare ya mama for before she sees the movie,” he wrote, alongside the #lostcityofd hashtag and the “smiling face with horns” emoji. Channing Tatum, I have no idea what that’s like. You can see the photo for yourself here, but be warned: it features Tatum more than Magic Mike.
If The Lost City of D doesn’t make a billion dollars, it should be considered a dud.
