One of your favorite movie actors might appear in David O. Russell’s forthcoming film. Also, your favorite pop star. Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Christian Bale, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Robert De Niro, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, and, according to Collider, Taylor Swift have all joined the cast of the still-untitled drama from the Oscar-nominated writer and director of American Hustle.
Taylor Swift has joined the A-list ensemble in David O. Russell’s upcoming film, as if he didn’t have enough significant performers already, a source close to the project confirmed to Collider… Swift’s part in the film, like the premise, is being kept under wraps.
Swift will not be playing a cat, one thing is certain. The Fearless singer has also appeared in Valentine’s Day, The Lorax, The Giver, and one episode of New Girl, in addition to the cursed feline musical. Miss Americana, a Netflix documentary about Swift, was released in November, and her concert video Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions was released in November on Disney+. She revealed that many of the songs were co-written by her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, under the identity William Bowery. Alwyn doesn’t appear in The Long Pond Studio Sessions, but he did star alongside… Margot Robbie in Mary Queen of Scots.
Am I grasping at straws, looking for easter eggs and tenuous-at-best connections? Yes. But that’s what us Swift fans do.
