Mariah Carey reportedly broke with Jay-Roc Z’s Nation management after a “explosive meeting that did not go well at all,” according to a report from British tabloid The Sun published over the weekend. According to The Sun, Carey is working on a new album and is looking for new representation. However, Mariah herself put an end to the rumor this morning on Twitter, referencing her longstanding business partner Jay-Z and uploading a clip from their 1999 duet “Heartbreaker” to remind fans of how deep their cooperation goes.
The only "explosive" situation I'd ever "get into" with Hov is a creative tangent, such as our #1 song "Heartbreaker"!! To the people who make up these lies I say "Poof! —Vamoose, sonofa*****"! pic.twitter.com/v8TGNuOAnZ

Mariah Carey clearly feels the same way about The Sun and its unknown source. It wasn’t the first time the long-running pop-R&B icon utilized her social media outlets to clarify things up. She humorously mocked a Baltimore rapper who copied her 2005 hit “Shake It Off” in May, but later admitted that she had permitted the sample to be used after Questlove contacted her. Meanwhile, Jay-Z is expected to add television and film production to Roc Nation’s already broad list of services in the near future.
