According to FOX 2 in Michigan, a six-year-old boy was hit with a sledgehammer by a neighbor, and when that didn’t work, the father went inside his house, retrieved a revolver, and shot the child.
Arnold Daniel, the boy’s father, claims that his children were outdoors playing on a beautiful sunny day when the weather turned overcast.
It all began when Daniel’s youngster accidentally left his bicycle in the yard of a neighbor. When the youngster, Coby, went outside to grab his bike, the neighbor allegedly walked outside with a sledgehammer in attack mode. After exchanging a few words, the neighbor returned inside. When the neighbor returned home, he allegedly fired a single shot through his window, striking Coby in the right arm.
According to FOX 2 in Michigan, a youngster was killed.
Arnold Daniel, the boy’s father, claims that his children were outdoors playing on a beautiful sunny day when the weather turned overcast.
“He tried hitting me with a sledgehammer but that’s not going to work because I’m too fast. (Then he) got a gun and BOOM shot me right here,” Coby said.
Thankfully, the bullet entered one side and exited the other. Coby was brought to the hospital after a brief fit of hysterics. Doctors told Daniel that the bullet would have killed him if it had hit him an inch in either way.
Ryan Le-Nguyen, the neighbor, was charged with assault with the intent to murder. Three days later, he was released on a $10,000 bail.
“I’m trying to figure out he got a bond so low for trying to kill my kid,” Daniel said. “Right now, he’s not even processing what happened. He doesn’t realize how close he came to not being here..but I realize it.”
A $100,000 bond was purportedly demanded by the prosecutor’s office, and an emergency application to raise it was submitted.
Coby is likely to recover completely.
