Mass Shooting In Virginia Beach And In Other Areas Leaves Multiple Injured &Two Dead

A mass shooting occurred in Virginia Beach, leaving eight people wounded and two dead, following a recent spate of gun violence across the country. Overnight, there were many more shootings in the Virginia Beach area, all of which resulted in fatalities.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, a uniformed cop “encountered an armed citizen, which culminated in a police-involved shooting” in a third of a string of shootings. Donovon Lynch, 25, was later named as the man who died at the scene from his injuries.

According to a press release from the VBPD, the initial shooting was the result of a verbal altercation. The release claimed that “at some point during the physical altercation, multiple individuals produced weapons and started shooting at each other, resulting in several people being injured.”

Officers responding to the first shooting allegedly heard more gunshots nearby. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a young woman who had been shot and had unfortunately died as a result of her injuries.

The woman was identified as Deshayla Harris, 29, a former star of “Bad Girls Club” who was portrayed as an innocent bystander at the second shooting. Authorities, on the other hand, say that the first two shootings are unrelated.

Meanwhile, a Virginia Beach officer was hit by a car during the multiple shootings and was taken to the hospital for treatment before being released.
