The Bucks will try to shut off the Suns and capture their first championship since 1971 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night, just after 9 p.m. ET in Milwaukee. As is customary in the NBA Finals, a slew of celebrities will be in attendance for Game 6, including Kanye West, Chance the Rapper, and Gucci Mane, but Bucks legends from the past will also be in attendance to witness Giannis Antetokounmpo and company’s probable coronation as NBA champions.
Brandon Jennings, who was once the Bucks’ young face, scoring 55 points in a game as a rookie, and who may be most known for voicing the famed prediction of “Bucks in 6” when asked how he thought Milwaukee would do in a series against the Big 3 Heat in 2013, is among that group. That term quickly became a running joke on the internet, but it has gradually become into a lovable rallying cry in Milwaukee, especially after the Bucks went behind 0-2 to the Suns, making Bucks in 6 the quickest they could win the series.
Jennings was watching from home during Game 3 as the Bucks raced away from the Suns and gave that rallying cry new life.
Now that Milwaukee is on the verge of a championship in Game 6, the venue will erupt in a really cool full circle moment when Jennings appears on the jumbotron in the Fiserv Forum to lead a Bucks in 6 shout.
